Customer Contact

You authorize Reliance Health Insurance to call, send SMS and email or to contact you by any other similar means on the contact information (made available by you on our website/mobile application either at the time of subscription, making an inquiry, making an application for any of the products/services offered or otherwise), offer you information and services for the product you have opted for and with regards to our other products and services that you may be interested in. You authorize us to call, SMS or email or contact you by way of any other similar means for the mentioned purpose irrespective of whether you are registered with the NDNC registry for a period of 30 (Thirty) days from your furnishing of the information.

We will also use your contact details information to:

  • To keep you updated on the insurance sector and Reliance Health Insurance through our newsletters.

We do not share your personally identifiable information with others, except as follows: We may share your information with the other Reliance Group to offer you the products and services of the various Reliance Group companies.


Further, we may also share your information as required by law or in the interest of protecting or exercising our or others’ legal rights, e.g., without limitation, in connection with requests from law enforcement officials and in connection with court proceedings.


In event you do not wish to receive such information, you may unsubscribe through the facility in the communications you receive.


Modification/Updating of Site Content

We reserve the right to change, modify, add to, or remove, portions of these terms of use at any time at will and in the event that we are required to do so as a result of any IRDAI regulations or as required by law for any other purpose and as amended or made applicable from time to time and as per company policy. You shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Reliance Health Insurance (including its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, group/promoter companies, agents/ intermediaries, representatives or subcontractors) from any and all claims and losses imposed on, incurred by or asserted as a result of or related to:

(a) Your access and use of this website/mobile application;

(b) Any non-compliance with the terms and conditions hereof;

(c) Any third-party actions related to your receipt and use of the information without authorization;

(d) Misuse of your user ID and password;

(e) Any unauthorized use of your account and/or this website/mobile application by you or someone using your computer.

You shall be liable to pay any and all costs, damages and expenses, including by RHI including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys' fees and costs awarded against or otherwise incurred by or in connection with or arising from any such claim, suit, action or proceeding attributable to any such claim.

Limitation of liability

Reliance Health Insurance hereby disclaims any and all liability with regards to the accuracy, completeness and or suitability of the content and information as is provided on the website/mobile application and any information and/or content that may be provided thereon from time to time. Reliance Health Insurance expressly disclaim any liability, whether in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with your access or use or inability to access or use of the Reliance Health Insurance website/mobile application or reliance on its content, or any failure of performance, interruption, defect, delay in transmission, computer viruses or other harmful components, or line or system failure associated with the Reliance Health Insurance website/mobile application, regardless of our knowledge thereof. Reliance Health Insurance shall not be liable for, any damages to, or viruses that may infect, your computer equipment or other property as a result of your access to, use of, or browsing in the website/mobile application or your downloading of any materials, data, text, images, video, or audio from this website/mobile application

Types of Data and Passive Data Collection

We shall also be collecting yours and the other insured members personal information through the Identification documentations that you submit at the time of purchasing a policy. You hereby consent to our use of such Identification Document number and details to link all the policies of the Company that you are associated with, in any capacity. Further, where you are sharing the Identification Document details of the other insured, you hereby state that you have been duly authorized by the insured to submit their Identification Document number and details, and that they have consented to our use of such Identification Document number and details to link all the policies of the Company that they are associated with.


Use of the information collected:

We collect passively tracked data primarily for purposes of administering, protecting and improving our site and our systems, to better understand the preferences of our site visitors, to identify server problems, to compile aggregated statistics about site usage, and to help personalize your experience on our site. We do not deliver third party online advertisements on our sites but we may advertise our products and services on others’ Web sites. We also may work with service providers to deliver retargeting advertisements and other advertisements on our behalf to visitors of our website/mobile application.

Data Protection

Confidentiality: Reliance Health Insurance shall take all reasonable precautions to preserve the confidentiality and prevent any corruption or loss, damage or destruction of the data and information provided by you, in keeping with industry standard practices. All personal medical information will be kept confidential and shall only be disclosed to those involved with your treatment or care, or third party service providers who may be responsible for meeting your treatment expenses, or their agents, subject to them being bound by strict confidentiality obligations. However, Reliance Health Insurance reserves the right to collect statistical, anonymous and aggregate data based on your usage of the website/mobile application, such information shall not consist of any of your private and sensitive information (such as your name, address, phone number, etc.) or your financial information (such as payment details, bank account details, etc.), to understand user behaviour and characteristics and to inform advertisers of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on the advertising banners.


Password: Certain services on the website/mobile application may require authentication procedures. You would be able to access such services by using the user ID and the password. Reliance Health Insurance shall take reasonable care to ensure the security of and to prevent unauthorized access to the services, which are part of the website/mobile application, however you will be the sole and exclusive owner of user ID and the password. You shall ensure the confidentiality and protection of the user ID and the password and shall ensure that the password/s is/are not revealed to any third party or recorded in any written or electronic form. You shall change the password at regular intervals. In addition to user ID and password, Reliance Health Insurance may, at its discretion, require you to adopt such other means of authentication including but not limited to digital certification and / or Smart Cards and/or Two Factor Authentication like Public or Private Keys / Risk Engine / Challenge Questions. Internet per se is susceptible to a number of frauds, misuse, hacking and other actions that could affect payment instructions / other instructions to the bank through the payment gateway. Reliance Health Insurance shall aim to provide security to prevent the same, however, there cannot be any guarantee from such internet frauds, hacking and other actions that could affect payment instructions / other instructions including result in delay or failure in processing the instructions. Therefore, we disclaim any liabilities to that effect.


Payment transaction at a cybercafe/shared computer terminal is risky and you shall not use the services of a cybercafe/shared computer terminal to do any such transactions.


Payment instruction

The premium to be paid for purchase of (Online) insurance policy shall necessarily be through net banking account or credit/debit card issued in the proposer/policyholder’s name.


Note: As per Regulation 3(d), 3(f) & 3(g) of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) (Manner of Receipt of Premium) Regulations, 2002, the premium shall be paid by proposer or by the policyholder through credit/debit card held in his/her name and by no other means.


When Reliance Health Insurance receives transaction instructions from you through the payment mode, Reliance Health Insurance will be entitled to debit any payment plus any charges payable for the transaction from the account you have specified. Reliance Health Insurance shall not be liable if any transaction does not fructify or may not be completed or for any failure on part of the bank or the credit card agency to perform any of its obligations.


Reliance Health Insurance shall have no liability whatsoever in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly out of the decline of authorization for any transaction, on account of the cardholder having exceeded the present limit mutually agreed to by the cardholder with the card issuing entity.


Evidence of transaction: In respect of any transactions which may be permitted by Reliance Health Insurance via its website/mobile application from time to time, Reliance Health Insurance's own records of such transactions, maintained through computer systems or otherwise, shall be accepted as conclusive evidence and binding on you for all purposes. More particularly, the record of Reliance Health Insurance generated by the transaction(s), including the recording of the time of the transaction(s), shall be conclusive proof of the genuineness and accuracy of such transactions.

Force Majure

Reliance Health Insurance shall not be liable if any transaction does not materialize or may not be completed or for any failure on its part to perform any of its obligations under these terms and conditions or those applicable specifically to any services, if the same is prevented, hindered or delayed by a Force Majeure and in such case its obligations shall be suspended for so long as the Force Majeure event continues. "Force Majeure" means any event due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Reliance Health Insurance, including without limitations, sabotage, fire, flood, explosion, acts of god, civil commotion, strikes or industrial action of any kind, riots, insurrection, war, acts of government, faults or failures in telecommunication, unavailability of any communication systems, breach, or virus in the processes or payment or delivery mechanism, computer hacking, computer crashes, malfunctioning in the computer terminal or the systems getting affected by any malicious code, unauthorized access to computer data and storage devices, destructive or corrupting code or program, mechanical or technical errors/failures or power outage, etc.

You agree to have read and understood the brochure, prospectus, sales literature & Policy wordings and confirm to abide by the same.
